MANIEGA presents “Abnormal Beauty”, a collection that brings together the two key stages of the brand’s evolution. This project combines the structural elements of the first collection with the silicone research developed during the second. The work transforms an experimental material into a wearable texture designed for everyday life. It represents the next step in the brand’s journey, where daily garments meet technical innovation. This collection explores a powerful, raw, and fully embraced femininity. The silicone textures, reminiscent of diseased skin, challenge traditional perceptions of beauty by transforming discomfort into a source of strength. Through monochromatic silhouettes, sharp details, and metallic elements, the garments become both armor and a means of expression. They embody a woman who is simultaneously dangerous, alluring, and deeply confident in her own power.

My creative practice is built around a fundamental principle: giving visibility and recognition to those whose expertise is too often overlooked in favor of image-driven professions within the fashion industry. I work through a hybrid methodology combining research and design practice, exploring our local ecosystem through active participation in meetings and workshops, as well as through direct collaborations with associations, spinning mills, and craftspeople. My pieces are created in “a room of my own,” between moments of doubt and reflection. Seeking beauty in gentle, everyday moments outside of routine, my designs emerge from encounters and conversations. This quiet season was conceived as a time of introspection — a necessary pause to return to what truly matters: building a creative environment that remains attentive to its surroundings and the relationships that shape it. My collections combine references to mountain craftsmanship with a contemporary minimalist sensitivity. I exclusively use second-hand materials and yarns sourced from local spinning mills, preserving their natural tones in order to celebrate their raw, sometimes imperfect textures and the craftsmanship behind them.

I am LERIANA. This first collection marks the beginning of my journey as a self-taught creator. Through each silhouette, I explore different facets of my universe, blending structure, volume, streetwear, and couture. “CREATE YOUR WORLD” is an invitation to imagine your own world, but above all, to dare to create your own clothing identity while remaining true to yourself. This collection also represents my own journey of discovery: discovering what I am capable of as a designer, but also as a woman who dares to believe in her ideas and bring them to life. Each creation is a step in my evolution, an experiment, a meeting point between my inspirations and my developing craftsmanship. This first collection is not an ending, but the beginning of a story. I invite you to discover my universe today and to follow my evolution with me, collection after collection, creation after creation. I strive to work as much as possible through upcycling and with deadstock fabrics in order to reduce my environmental impact.
